Happy New Year!

Hello all and Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! My Christmas was great and my New Year was nice and quiet, spent with family. I think maybe next year we'll venture out! This year is going to be very busy but that's ok because it's going to be a great one!! In 4 months I'll be married to the man of my dreams!! I couldn't be more excited that it's almost here, finally when people ask me when I'm getting married I can say THIS YEAR!!! We started our wedding planning more than a year ago so it's been a long time coming! So to bring in the new year I did a happy new year mani! Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of it, by the time I decided I was going to blog about it, it had chipped. Here's what I used though:
First I painted the top coat with China Glaze Champagne Bubbles. I actually found this on clearance at Ulta! Next I used this awesome polish my future sister-in-law got me for Christmas!
It's Kleancolor Firework. This polish went perfectly with the champagne bubbles! It was super cute and went on really smooth (which I was surprised about since the glitter pieces are pretty large.) I didn't go crazy and slather it on my nails, I placed the glitter thinly on all my nails. This is probably why it wasn't rough after I put my top coat on. It lasted a good four days before the chipping began which I think is pretty good since I'm constantly using my hands while at work. I also got a lot of compliments on it =]

As one of my New Years Resolutions I have vowed to be more organized and to really tackle the clutter on my desk (and more importantly... keep the clutter off *cough cough*) so my first step was to find a really good organizer (I figured this would come in handy for scheduling all the appointments for the wedding too!) I found this one on Amazon for $12, there's a blog that I absolutely LOVE (it really inspired me to get more organized). Here's the organizer:
It helped that it was super cute =] and the blog is called The Nest Effect, it's full of awesome ideas!

Tonight Fancy is taking me to a dinner party that's being thrown by the new company he works for. I'm really excited because I get to dress up!! More on that later!

I'm off to do some more organizing! Hopefully I can get Fancy to take out the Christmas Tree this weekend. It seems no matter how many times I vacuum the dogs always seem to find some Christmas tree needles!

Christmas, New Year's, and new toys!

Happy 2009 everyone!! I hope the holidays were good for you. I honestly can say that these were the best holidays I, myself, have ever had. Christmas was marvelous and New Years was awesome! I'll start really quick with Christmas. I got up at 7 and woke my brother up (my Uncle was already awake, haha!) and then I proceeded to wake Justin up. He came over and we sat around until my parents got up around 8. We opened presents and it was a blast. After that I went over to Justin's where we opened presents again. I became part of his family's tradition... every Christmas morning they have a Nerf gun fight. It was SO much fun!

The Christmas tree at my house!

Let me tell you New Years came so fast I could hardly believe it. I really wasn't sure what was going to happen because Justin had to work New Year's eve until 3pm but I was also under the impression that he had to work New Year's Day at 7am. I'll admit I was pretty bummed because I really wanted to spend it with him. I tried my best to stay positive though because I didn't want him feeling bad... come to find out he didn't have to work New Year's Day! Oh yes, I was very excited. When he got off work he drove down from Tampa to his parents house, where I met him. Brian (his brother) and Leah (Brian's girlfriend) came down as well. Once together, we went to their Uncle's house for dinner. It was a lot of fun (reeeally good food!). When it was time to go we hopped in Justin's car and went back to his house. We found out that Mike (one of Justin's friends from Vitamin Shoppe... his other job) and Holly (Mike's girlfriend) were gonna join us for New Year's here in Bradenton. Justin's daddy made a fire in their fire pit outside and we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores! It was so relaxing, just kicking it back with friends, laughing, joking, telling stories... having a few to drink. It was great waiting for the ball to drop. When it was time we all gathered around the TV and watched anxiously... 3...2...1...HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! aaaaannnndd KISS! Everyone had someone to kiss and this year I did too!

It was starting to get a little cold outside (for us Floridians) so we moved inside and decided to have a Nerf gun battle! Oh yes, I forgot to mention... for Christmas Justin got a new Nerf gun.... the Nerf N-Strike Vulcan EBF-25 Blaster. A mouthful I know but this gun is baaaaaad to the bone! Check it out---

As it got later all the excitement started to catch up with me and I crashed for a little on the couch upstairs. Brian and Leah played pool, Holly crashed like me, and Mike and Justin shot at each other for a while with the nerf guns.

Mike used Brian's gun (which is pretty cool too)

Holly chilling on the couch... we both fell asleep shortly after this was taken.

Basically it was a giant sleepover! Like I said, bedtime for me came shortly after I took the above picture. I think I did pretty good... I believe it was around 2:30 in the morning.

New Year's day was very lazy. Justin and I laid around until I had to work at 5.... which was stupid because I was scheduled until 8. Oh oh something exciting for me that I forgot to mention... I bought a new camera with my Christmas money! I looooove it--

It's my new toy! I absolutely love canon cameras, I had my last one for 4 years and it finally crapped out on Christmas (yeah good timing I know), the cost to fix my old one would've been about the same price of my new camera (which was 149.99) I got it at Wolf Camera because Best Buy had it for $50 more. I've been hunting for a case for it and I think I've finally found one (I'm very picky about my cases... they have to be soft!) Anyways, I hope everyone had a great New Year's!

xoxo
