excitment in the backyard

A few days ago when I went outside with my puppies I saw a ton of feathers near the bird feeder. When I walked out into the backyard I saw a whole bunch more. My Dad said that they're dove feathers and he thinks it was one of those reeeally big ones with the black ring around the neck.... something like this Except I think ours are bigger. Anyways, we get a lot of birds around the house because we have a feeder and cardinal seed. They're constantly filled because my mom likes to watch them. We also have a lot of trees in the backyard, I think that has something to do with the amount of birds around also. Every now and again we see the hawks, and today he graced me with his presence! He hung out for a little before he called for his buddy...
They were on the hunt! I don't know if they caught anything or not because at that point I looked at my watch and ran inside because it was 2:45 and I had to be at work in 15 minutes. From my backyard to yours!
