Hello all and Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! My Christmas was great and my New Year was nice and quiet, spent with family. I think maybe next year we'll venture out! This year is going to be very busy but that's ok because it's going to be a great one!! In 4 months I'll be married to the man of my dreams!! I couldn't be more excited that it's almost here, finally when people ask me when I'm getting married I can say THIS YEAR!!! We started our wedding planning more than a year ago so it's been a long time coming! So to bring in the new year I did a happy new year mani! Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of it, by the time I decided I was going to blog about it, it had chipped. Here's what I used though:
First I painted the top coat with China Glaze Champagne Bubbles. I actually found this on clearance at Ulta! Next I used this awesome polish my future sister-in-law got me for Christmas!
It's Kleancolor Firework. This polish went perfectly with the champagne bubbles! It was super cute and went on really smooth (which I was surprised about since the glitter pieces are pretty large.) I didn't go crazy and slather it on my nails, I placed the glitter thinly on all my nails. This is probably why it wasn't rough after I put my top coat on. It lasted a good four days before the chipping began which I think is pretty good since I'm constantly using my hands while at work. I also got a lot of compliments on it =]
As one of my New Years Resolutions I have vowed to be more organized and to really tackle the clutter on my desk (and more importantly... keep the clutter off *cough cough*) so my first step was to find a really good organizer (I figured this would come in handy for scheduling all the appointments for the wedding too!) I found this one on Amazon for $12, there's a blog that I absolutely LOVE (it really inspired me to get more organized). Here's the organizer:
It helped that it was super cute =] and the blog is called The Nest Effect, it's full of awesome ideas!
Tonight Fancy is taking me to a dinner party that's being thrown by the new company he works for. I'm really excited because I get to dress up!! More on that later!
I'm off to do some more organizing! Hopefully I can get Fancy to take out the Christmas Tree this weekend. It seems no matter how many times I vacuum the dogs always seem to find some Christmas tree needles!

China Glaze Moulin Rouge
Lately, I've been giving my nails a bit of a rest from polish. I was painting them a TON and I trimmed them back and just put some strengthener on them until they were finished with their recooping-ness. And now they are! I've been DYING to try my new China Glaze "Moulin Rouge" polish! Unfortunately I'm on the ropes about this one. The polsih in the bottle looks AMAZING. There's lots of different colored glitters in it.
Of course you can't see them in this picture >_< I should really just take the pictures with my actual camera instead of my phone but it's just so much more convient this way ^_^
I was sooooooooooooooo excited for this color....
uuuugggghhhhhh.... I started with Finger Paints base coat, then applied two coats of polish. It was very difficult to get even on my nails. Maybe I didn't mix it up enough but sometimes it felt almost gel-like. After two coats of polish, I topped it with TWO coats of OPI top coat and because of all the glitter I couldn't get a smooth finish. IDK, this may be one that looks better in the bottle =( Needless to say I don't think this will be staying on my nails for very long.

New finds
This weekend was at first somewhat difficult but then turned out to be ok! Fancy's grandmother wasn't doing too well at first (But don't worry! She's doing better!). We were in charge of getting breakfast so we wandered into a Publix down there. I always like going to a Publix that I haven't been in before, I like to look at the things they have that we don't carry here! I found some polish ooooof course! We carry China Glaze but they had some colors I hadn't see before! So I narrowed it down to two (Fancy wouldn't let me get the four that I wanted).
Then, yesterday I wandered over to Ulta and found a pretty cool OPI set, plus they gave you a free top or bottom coat. I also picked up my first Essence polish.
(From Left to Right): OPI "William tell me about OPI", China Glaze "Moulin Rouge" (HAD to get this because of the name! Moulin Rouge is one of my all time favorite movies!), OPI "I'm not really a waitress", China Glaze "Strawberry Smoothie", and Essence in "Just rock it!".
Can't wait to try them all! Thinking about doing the pink first for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Puppy!!
Hello all! I have some exciting news! First of all, Fancy and I finally ordered our Save The Dates! I'm super excited and I really cannot wait to get them! They're super cute- nice and simple. I really didn't want to spend a whole ton of money on the save the dates (I'd rather spend more on the invitations themselves!). I did a ton of research and found a style that he and I could agree on and ordered a 100 of them for $133.00, shipping and handling put it just over my cap of $150.00 to $151 and change, something I could live with.
This is the template from the website (Davids Bridal) but this is it! I can't wait to get them!!!
Next up, another bit of exciting news! We got our puppy this weekend!!! So ladies and gentlemen... I would like to introduce to you... Jax!
He is 4 months old and is a purebred Shetland Sheepdog and he is an absolute joy. I was actually really worried about my other two dogs and how they would react to the new pup mainly because my oldest, Sulley, was depressed for 4 days after I brought home Brinkley. It about broke my heart. But thankfully they love him! Brinkley tried to get him to play yesterday but Jax was still getting used to his new home and wasn't much in the playing mood. However, today was a different story! Jax played with Brinkley and many times instigated the play!
His favorite spot is under my coffee table. I'll allow it.... because he looks so cute under it. So here is my family

These are my guys and I love them all =]
Now onto nails! (LOL) My Orly mani didn't really last as long as I was hoping but it sure looked pretty- it was a BEAST to get off though! The color came off pretty easily but getting the glitter off was ridiculous. I was actually surprised with how much I had to scrub. I let my nails breathe for a couple days and decided to do my nails today. I went through my Box-O-Polish not really sure what color I wanted to do and came across one of my finger paints bottles that I'd bought a while ago. I hadn't used any of my Finger Paints polishes yet so I decided to try it. It's a really pretty silver polish called "Easel Come, Easel Go!". It went on really smooth and was really easy to control which was good because I broke the nail on my left index finger down pretty low yesterday. The silver looked really nice but I was in a crackle mood so I put my gray crackle over it. I used China Glaze "Cracked Concrete".
Here's my combo! And I, stupidly, did not take a picture of my nails just with the silver on >_< (sorry!) But here's it together
I really hate the lights in my apartment! They all seem to have a golden glow and it's terrible for picture taking but I always tend to do my nails at night so I guess this will have to do. I like the Finger Paints polishes a lot, they dry really quickly and I probably could have gotten away with one coat of the silver, honestly.
Still no go on my order from Amazon.... I paid 6 bucks for shipping!! Hopefully it will be in my mailbox tomorrow *fingers crossed*. Well I have some sleepy pups looking at me so I'm going to call it a night! Until next time =]
